Boss Security Screens

Robots to the rescue!

Last week Boston Dynamics released a video of their robots working together:

I'm guessing we humans share a similar reaction that goes something like:

1.  Wow!  I can't believe how far we've come in developing robots.  They are so lifelike...

2.  Umm,  so what happens to us when these things are everywhere?

It's easy to find all the good things these little guys can do for us.  For example, they can protect my family and kids when I'm away.  Much more effective than the fluffy cat we have.

And then the sinister thoughts start brewing.  Like what if those guys where out to get me??  How would I defeat them?

Purdue is working on tiny robots that are so small they kind of tumble across the ground with the wind.

The good news is tiny robots like this may offer all kinds of medical miracles.  And the same time be a terrifying nemisis.

There are no easy answers to these questions.  Life is obviously better than ever for us humans.  It may be fun to time travel to the dark ages, but no one would want to live there.  Things are too cushy now.

So the challenge is how to manage the rising tide of super smart tech that outperforms humans on all levels.  It won't be easy.  Seems we are becoming obsolete.

For now, we offer security screens to keep the humans out.  Maybe one day we will need to do the same for artificial intelligence.
