How Much Do Security Screens Cost?

The single most common question we're asked is what does it cost for the security screens? There are few things that we need to explain first, but the short answer is each one is custom made to fit your home. No two homes are alike. No two offices are alike either. And for that reason, they're made by hand. And, of course, we use the best materials we can find, the strongest materials we can find. We're not going to be that security screen company that's going to cheapen things and try to fit the product into the price. Instead, what we're going to do, what we are doing is design a product that actually solves the problem. And the problem is how do we keep the bad guys out? In order to do that, we need quality materials and we need quality production techniques.

Generally speaking, you can expect to spend about $1,000 per window. Again, some are going to be cheaper, some are going to be more expensive, and the more windows you order, the less expensive it gets. The reason is - they’re made in a factory, get in a crate and then there's an install crew that comes. So, the pricing scales with volume.

Also, we make security screens for doors: front doors, back doors, side doors, sliding patio doors, French doors, even pet doors. Those start at $1,600, so you can imagine a French door is going to be more expensive than a standard door. The pet door is very inexpensive. Those we usually just give away, and our cost is probably about $300 for a custom pet door.

So are these things cheap? No, they're not. The point is everything that we're trying to protect is actually priceless. The stuff that's in my home, all of that can be replaced. Insurance will cover it. It's my family and my kids and even my pets, those are the ones I care most about. And those are the ones I want to be sure stay safe regardless of what kind of creeps out there, whether it's someone who's looking to steal or someone who's just deranged on drugs, or I don't care what it is. We just want that whole thing to stay out.
