When I worked for Sony in Tokyo as a recent college grad, I would meet for 30 minutes once a week with one of the directors.

The purpose of those sessions was for him to download as much knowledge and wisdom as possible into my little brain!

In one of those meetings, he said, “One thing you need to know is that businesses do not destroy businesses. Companies destroy themselves.”

When people ask who our competitors are, I tell them it’s ourselves.

And it’s true! As long as we focus on quality, do the right thing (even when no one is looking), AND take care of our people (this includes client, employees and vendors), then we will always have customers.
