7 Reasons Why Our Security Screen Window Is The Best

There are a handful of companies competing in the security screen space. At first glance, they all appear to offer similar products. But when you dig deeper, you will quickly discover there are some pretty significant differences.

  1. No Break-In Guarantee
How can any company offer a security product that allegedly provides great protection against break-ins and refuse to guarantee it? That’s like promising something will work and then hiding when it doesn’t. If you are going to make a product that’s supposed to stop break-ins, then you have to stand by it 100%. No excuses. And that’s what we do. Our screens are designed to do one thing very, very well: stop intruders. And we guarantee it because we engineered it do exactly that. Any company who cannot guarantee their product is already signaling that they don’t trust their own product. No one has ever breached one of our security screens. If someone did, we will cover your theft deductible up to $3000 and replace the security screen free of charge.

  2. Lifetime Warranty
This is another important one that you really need to read the fine print. Many companies will offer a lifetime warranty that is actually very limited. The warranty may only cover certain components. Some warranties secretly require regular maintenance from the provider in order for the warranty coverage to be valid. So be sure to get into the weeds on this one. You don’t want to spend $10,000 and then 2 years down the road have an obvious warranty issue, like a security door handle breaking from normal use, and then learn from the vendor that you are not covered. Our lifetime warranty is very simple. If something breaks from normal use, we will fix it. No questions asked. We know this will be a cost over time, but we look at that cost as more of an investment. We prefer clients who value quality and are willing to pay for it. For this reason, we spend more for higher quality materials and higher quality craftsmanship. In the security business, you get what you pay for.

  3. ADA Complaint Egress
Our security window screens do an excellent job of keeping the bad from getting in, but how does one get out in the event of a fire or some other emergency? That’s an excellent questions and one you really want to stop and assess carefully. Each of our screens has an ADA-compliant egress latch. All you have to do is flip the latch and push. The screen will open like a car door for quick and easy egress. ADA compliance is a biggie. It means the latch can be operated by young children and the elderly. Our latch not only meets ADA standards but actually exceeds the ADA requirements. The bottom line is: When the house is on fire and you or your loved ones absolutely, positively need to get out NOW and with LITTLE effort, our egress latch is the one you will want. It outshines the rest by far.

  4. .035” Diameter Stainless Steel Wire
Now we are getting technical, but this one really counts. We could use thinner wire to make our stainless steel mesh. It would be much cheaper if we did because we would save a bundle on material cost (since it’s less material) and shipping costs (since it weighs less.) But thinner wire isn’t as strong as thicker wire. Our mission is to build security screens that we would actually put on our homes. And when given a choice, it’s infinitely wiser to spend more money on thicker, stronger wire than to cut corners and go cheap. Someday when some creepo is banging on your security screens trying to get in, you are going to thank yourself for spending the extra money to get the strongest, highest quality screens available. That’s us.

  5. 12x12 Weave per Sq Inch Mesh
Similar to wire thickness, the strength of the screen depends on the density of the wire. The more wire you have per square inch, the stronger the mesh becomes. Some companies will try to sell you a mesh that’s only 10x10 per sq inch. And that’s on top of wire that’s only .028” thick! Not surprising those companies cannot stand by their products and give you a no break-in guarantee. We make our stainless steel mesh with 12 strands in the vertical direction every inch and 12 strands in the horizontal direction every inch. This turns out to be the optimal density because the weave is small enough to keep the bugs out and large enough to let the light in. A 10x10 weave will not keep small mosquitos out. And sometimes those nasty little critters are the worst! So - again - don’t go cheap. Spend the money and get the solution that’s truly going to get the job done.

  6. Rated Hurricane Category 4
You may not get hurricanes in your part of the world, but most people experience severe weather conditions from time to time. And when you do, you will be glad you have our security screens on your home. The number one killer in extreme weather is flying debris crashing through the windows and hitting the occupants. Our security screens are specifically designed to protect you during these types of conditions. In fact, you can take a 2x4 length of wood, accelerate it to 156 mph, shoot it like a dart at one of our security window screens, and it will just bounce off the mesh. That’s how strong our security screens are. And with climate change affecting all of us, choosing a security screen that is actually rated for hurricane category 4 conditions is a very smart decision.

  7. Any Custom Color
Each of our security screens is powder coated. And the good news is we can do any custom color for the frames and for the mesh. Not many companies have that kind of flexibility. But we do. It matters for a few reasons. One, your HOA will want your security screen windows and security doors to match the existing color palette of your home. HOAs by law cannot prevent you from installing security screens on your home. However, they can decline a color proposed color scheme. Because we can do any color, there won’t be any issues with the HOA. Two, you are making sizable investment with your security screens. You are investing is your security and you are investing in your home. This means the screens should be attractive and add to your home’s curb appeal. We definitely got you covered here, too. Your wish is our command.
