Security Screen Doors - Phoenix AZ
Why I Love My Security Screen Door
Not all security doors are created equal.
Ours come with a true 3-point locking system. That means three bolts engage when you lock the security door. This provides maximum security and prevents anyone from trying to smash or pry their way in.
We have installed +15,000 security screens over the last 6 years & not one has been broken into!
There are have been a few attempts and all failed. The bad guys may be dumb but they aren’t stupid. They are looking for the easiest home to breach, not the toughest. And in a blink they can discern which home is most vulnerable. They want a quick in and out. Not a battle. And that’s why our security doors are so effective.
Are security doors worth the investment?
A client of ours said it best: If you don’t want to be murdered or raped in your own home, these security screens are for you. When it comes to security, everything is fine until one day it’s not. Don’t become a statistic. Take action. It’s the prudent, sensible thing to do.

Security doors and security screens: superior protection from intruders
Hi, this is James. Just a quick note. I want to share with you the discussion I have with many clients about production security doors from Home Depot, Lowe's, any other Big Box. And I tell them, "Look, if that's all you can afford, if that's the only thing that fits in your budget, then by all means double thumbs up. Put it on your home. It's going to be much better than nothing." Now, the issue with production doors is it's one-size-fits-all, and absolutely every home in the United States, none of them are square and none of them are in the same plane. So when you try to put a one-size-fits-all security door or security window or security slider on a home, you'll end up getting gaps. So it may help protect from the thugs, but it won't protect from the bugs. And sometimes the bugs are worse than the thugs, right? So a good security install doesn't have any gaps around the perimeter of that door, the window, or the slider. That's point number one. One size does not fit all.
Point number two is it's not as strong as the industrial-strength security doors, windows, and sliders that we sell. Their mesh is weaker. I've tested it. Third party engineering firm, it's not as strong. Oftentimes they'll use the perforated steel. In the message below, I'll include a link to show you how criminals typically breach that. It won't have a three-point lock. It's a common breach; kind of crowbar that mail piece out of the lock, and then the door opens. I guarantee you it'll be installed by someone who is not an employee of Lowe's or Home Depot or whichever Big Box store it is. And that vendor, that subcontractor is paid per install. So they are not motivated to make sure that it's a perfect install. It's, "Wham, bam, thank you, ma'am. Let's get this up. Let's get out of here because I got seven more to do this day to get paid."
The warranties on production doors are typically two, three years maximum, and there's no break-in guarantee. So in our world, everything's custom-made to fit your home and to look perfect and it comes with a 15-year parts and labor warranty, and it comes with a no break-in guarantee. We stand by it, 110%. Installed over 15,000, zero break-ins, zero people have broken into the mesh over six years since I started this company.
Now, there are some people that will say, "Well, we'll give you a lifetime warranty." And that's kind of scammy. Whose lifetime is that? Is that the product lifetime? And how long is that? Is it the buyer's lifetime? How long is that? Does it transfer to the buyer of the new home? Well, how long are they going to live? And did my kid actually buy it? In which case, that's another 80, 90, 100 years. Their intent is to sell it and be done with you. 10, 15, 20 years from now, 50 years from now under a "lifetime warranty," they're not going to be in business or they would have sold it to someone else, or they'll point you to the fine print in the contract that says in order for you to get a lifetime warranty, which by the way is materials lifetime, not human lifetime, which is much shorter. In fact, some states, they say a product lifetime, seven years. So it's just dubious. If you think it through, it sounds great, but as we all know, things that sound great, typically there's something too good to be true. Right?
So, production doors, can you get them? Sure. Are they going to be better than what you got? Nothing. Absolutely. Can they be breached easily? Yes, they can. Is it still worth getting? Sure. But if you have the money, if you have the budget and if you want top-tier security, spend a little more. You're going to get a lot more. And the phrase, you get what you pay for, it absolutely applies to security. And they say good security ain't cheap and cheap security ain't good. And it's true. At 2:00 AM when some creep or creeps are trying to break into your home, you're going to be glad you spent a little more and got a lot more.
