How do you get out in the event of an emergency?
Each window screen is hinged. On the inside there’s a latch. It’s ADA-compliant and easily operated by young children and the elderly. Just flip the latch and push. The screen opens like a car door for quick and easy egress.
What are security screens made our of?
Our window security screens and security doors are made from the aircraft-grade aluminum and military-grade stainless steel mesh. It’s extremely robust. The screens mount to the outside of the existing structure. No need to modify the building. Each security screens comes with a 15-Year Parts & Labor Warranty and a No Break-In Guarantee.
How much do security screens cost?
Each security screen is custom made to fit your home, office or school. The cost depends on the type of opening (window, door, slider, etc.) and the size of the opening. To give you a rough idea, expect to spend $750 per window and up. Doors start at $2K and sliders at $3K. We do offer wholesalel pricing for larger projects. More on security screen pricing here.
How long does it take to make a security screen?
We currently need about 10-12 weeks. Yes, there other vendors offering quicker turnaround, but their screens are not as tough as ours. Remember, each is custom made for you so they look great and work well. These are not the one-size-fits-all doors and windows you might find a at a big box store.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, we do. Including zero down, zero payments and zero interest for 12 months. Basically, the bank puts the security screens on your home for free! The approval process is quick and easy. Takes just 5 minutes and can be done over the phone and it’s a soft credit check so it will not affect your credit score. No need to show proof of income and no need to be the home owner. This means your spouse or relative or even a family friend can qualify for the loan. If you have good credit, you will be able to get the loan you want. 95% approval rates.
What is the no break-in guarantee?
If someone breaches one of our screens (we’ve installed tens of thousands over the last 6 years and no one has defeated one to date!), we will pay your theft deductible up to $3,000 and replace the screen free of charge. Our job is to keep the bad guys out. Our security screens live up to that promise and look great every step of the way. No loss with Boss!
Do the window security screens reduce the amount of solar heat coming into the room?
Yes, about 65%. It will help you save on your A/C bills. First and foremost our security screens are designed to keep the bad guys out. Period. We love to say, “They will keep the bugs & thugs out!” But one nice benefit of these screens is they do filter the the solar heat. So if you have south facing openings, our security screens will help keep your rooms cool in those ulta hot summers.
What colors are available?
The standard colors for frames and mesh are black, white, almond, bronze and charcoal grey. But we can also do any custom color. We’ve done purple doors, yellow doors, blue doors…and they all come out looking great! If you can dream it, we can build it.
Why not get a security alarm instead?
Security alarms will not stop a break-in. They will just make a noise. I can share countless stories of criminals who will still enter the home or building when an alarm is triggered. Why? Because thebad guys know it will take 40-50 minutes for law enforcement to arrive. That’s plenty of time to get in and get out. Most break-ins are less than 3 minutes long.
How did you get started?
I started this company because my wife said she felt unsafe when I was away on business. I offered to get her a big dog. But she didn’t want the dog to get hurt trying to protect her and our kids. And I offered to get her a gun but she didn’t want to have to shoot anyone. If you think about it, the best solution is not a dog or an alarm or a gun, it’s keeping the that bad stuff out.
