A Path Toward Better Security

It is never difficult to find advice regarding one's safety when searching the internet. Whether you are interested in topics relating to personal safety or seeking better security options for your home, rest assured that you will find endless sources and opinions for your efforts. The issue at hand is qualification. Do those sources have the training, hands-on experience, and expertise to qualify their information or back their advice?

After completing nearly 29 years of executive-level law enforcement for the City of Henderson and now owning and operating Code 4 Consulting & Private Investigations, I am uniquely positioned to share some common sense, practical advice based on things I have seen throughout my career. While working for the Henderson Police Department, I spent most of my service operating in and commanding specialized units. As a result, I gained invaluable training and expertise in complex investigations, critical incident response, special victim assistance, and crime prevention. I was very fortunate to hold a wide variety of positions, and it was an honor to serve my community.

I am equally grateful to represent Boss Security Screens as their Chief Security Advisor. So why Boss? Quite simply, they are the best in the business. Never have I encountered a home security product that works all the time and every time. It is incredible to work with a company committed to providing a superior security product and one that believes in giving back to the community and its customers. I could not pass on this opportunity to work with such a great team of professionals. We share the same passion for security, so it is a natural fit.

As you will learn through our blog, I advocate for responsible preparedness, sound decision-making, and reasonable action. You will see those words again. Always be cautious of those who provide definitive answers to every question; it is never that simple. Every situation can and will be examined by the facts and circumstances surrounding that event or series of events. The ramifications of one's choices will most often come down to how one prepares or reacts in any given situation.

We have a host of topics to cover in the coming months, so check in weekly for new content and discussion posts covering topics that matter to you. If you have a question or a topic for discussion, please submit them, and we will do our best to address them. Thank you for taking the time to read our opening blog and starting a path toward better safety and home security.
